I read a great definition of the word "serendipity," reported to have been given by Horace Walpole, the man who invented the word. He defined serendipity as: "that quality of mind which, through sagacity [profound knowledge and understanding, coupled with foresight and good judgment] and good fortune, allows one to frequently discover something good while seeking something else."
